My name is Stephanie Gordon. I am currently in grad school at The Midwest College of Oriental Medicine where I am focusing my studies on Women’s Health and Pediatrics. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in Early Childhood Education, am a certified DONA and Hypnobabies birth doula. I also am a PBi certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. My newest addition to supporting women’s health is instructing Dancing for Birth classes, which is a totally fun way to learn about natural birth and stay fit during pregnancy, birthing and postpartum with your baby in a sling!
Natural living, sustainability, and empowering individuals and community are my passions in life. I am honored and humbled to attend women and their partners during their sacred journey of birth. I attend both hospital and home births. I have a daughter who was born at home in a peaceful, natural, loving manner.
I am excited to announce that Blossoming Birth Services will be moving into Sweet Pea’s Studio! Here I will be teaching many birth classes,ZUMBA, workshops, bellycasting, Reiki, hosting Blessingways and other womanhood celebrations!
Sweet Pea’s Studio is located at 3717 North Ravenswood, Suite 213 Chicago, IL. I am ultimately grateful to be a part of this dynamic community of massage therapists, physical therapist, home birth midwives, counselor and soon to be acupuncturist/herbalist (ME!) who support women and children.
I have also partnered up with a baby furniture store called Our Baby! Our baby is located 3420 North Elston Ave. Chicago, IL 60618. Lisa is amazing and is offering my doula clients great discounts on cloth diapers, baby furniture, mattresses and jogging strollers. Her clients also receive discounts on my services!
